Julie Robinson-Tingue
Vice President, Development Communications and Donor Engagement

About Julie
Throughout her career, Julie Robinson-Tingue has created paths to marry her lifelong love of science with cogent communications strategies to make health care and medicine less foreign and intimidating to people of all backgrounds and walks of life.
As the new vice president of Development Communications at Northwell Health, Julie spearheads development and strategic communications and donor engagement to demonstrate and educate Northwell’s audiences of how philanthropy helps fuel innovation and propels advances in care, growth, and revenue for the health system.
Prior to joining Northwell, Julie was Vice President/Chief of Staff at Family and Children’s Association (FCA) where she served as the strategic partner to the President and CEO and provided executive communications and operations oversight for the organization. She also held regional and national communications leadership roles at global giant Optum Health, as well as an earlier nine-year stint at Northwell – initially as the Director of Public Affairs at Huntington Hospital before joining the Foundation as senior director of Strategic Communications, where she helped build and lead the communications team that launched the health system’s first comprehensive $1B philanthropic campaign. Julie is a graduate of Northwell’s High Potential Executive Development and MAP-IT programs and served on President & CEO Michael Dowling’s faculty as a Beginnings facilitator.
A former broadcast and print journalist – who ironically studied aerospace engineering in college – Julie is a frequent public speaker and spokesperson on issues of diversity and inclusion and coaches/mentors women and mothers navigating their career journeys.
