Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Brian leads development efforts for Northwell Health in New York. With 23 hospitals and more than 66,000 employees, Northwell Health is a fully integrated organization that provides the resources and innovation to drive the future of health care.
Prior to joining Northwell Health, Brian served as Associate Vice President/Chief Development Officer at the University of Michigan Health System, where he oversaw the integration of a comprehensive development program, and created and implemented a strategic development plan to maximize the fundraising potential of the health system, including launching a $1 billion campaign.
Brian’s previous experience includes 12 years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center/Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. As Chief Advancement Officer, he ran the most successful capital campaign in Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s institutional history. Prior to his time at Dartmouth, Brian spent 18 years at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, working in numerous areas in their development program, culminating in the position of Director of Development, Individual Gifts. In that role he directed a staff of 60 people across four departments including principal gifts, major gifts, gift planning and special events securing over $110 million in gifts annually.
Brian holds a BA from Queens College and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University.
